Xu Dehua’s (Xu Guangda) Diploma from Huangpu Military Academy

On top of the certificate is the will of the prime minister, on the right is the admonition by the prime minister, on the left is the motto of Huangpu Military Academy, and in the center is the following sentence: “Xu Dehua has completed his study of the subject of artillery in the fifth session of the academy and is examined and qualified for graduation, for which the diploma is hereby conferred.” Originally named Xu Dehua, Xu Guangda joined the CPC in 1925. He was admitted by Huangpu Military Academy in 1926 as a student of the fifth session and graduated on July 20, 1927. He was commander of the armored force and filled other positions after the PRC was founded, and was conferred the title of senior general in 1955.It was donated by Xu Guangda’s family to the Military Museum in 1977.
