He Long led the Second and Sixth Corps of the Red Army to the Zhongdian county in northwest Yunnan in 1936. Local Lamas were deeply touched by the CPC’s national policy. They asked He Long to write something for Guihua Lamasery. He Long asked Fan Zhexiang to write this scroll on behalf of him. He Long gave the scroll to lamasery when he and a Red Army delegate paid a visit there on May 2. The scroll reads, “To Guihua Lamasery, Zhongdian. For the Prosperity of Ethnic Minorities. By He Long.”It was transferred in 1959 from Kunming Military Command to the Military Museum.
