He became a CPC member in 1931 and worked as the Political Commissar of the Third Military Sub-Command in Fujian. Huang used this seal for fund-raising when he conducted guerrilla warfare in Shanghang of Fujian Province and in Pinghe, Raoping and Nanjing of Guangdong Province. During the wartime, the Red Army soldiers often pasted sealed fund-raising notices on the gates of rich families, setting a deadline for payment. It was the major way of fund-raising for the financially-difficult Red Army at the time.Huang Huoxing donated the seal to the Military Museum in 1959.
