Gatling Gun

Gatling guns were introduced to China in the 1870s, known as “gelin gun.” With the hand crank revolving one circle, each barrel fired a shot, ejected the spent cartridge and loaded a new round. The shooting speed of a Gatling gun may reach 350 shots per minute. Jinling Arsenal began to model on Gatling guns in 1884 (the tenth year of the Guangxu Reign). It was the earliest automatic gun adopted by the Chinese army.
