Terra-Cotta Warriors in Qin Dynasty

It was discovered in Xiyang village 1.5 kilometer east of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor in March 1974. The three pits of terra cotta warriors were arranged in the character of Pin (品), representing the troops that guarded the mausoleum in the past. About 8,000 pieces of pottery figurines and horses were unearthed from the three pits, which was a substantial discovery in the world sculpture history. Ranging from generals to soldiers, those warriors were found withvarious expressions and styles and were the lifelike re-creation of the Qin officers and men.It's unearthed from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor in Lintong county, Shaanxi province.
