Inscribed Chime with Protrusions in the Spring and Autumn Period

Date: Spring and Autumn Period    Material: bronze

Stemmed from the cymbal, chimes were popular in the Shang Dynasty through the Warring States period. There were the Yong chime, Niu chime and Bo chime. The exhibit has thirty-six decorative protrusions and the chime is inscribed with the relation between the sounds and tunes.
