The Radio Repair Tools Ever Used by Li Bai

These tools, such as pliers, tweezers and screwdrivers, were used by Li Bai, a crypto-member of the CPC who had been working underground for a long time in Shanghai during the revolutionary war. Li Bai (1910-1949), born in Liuyang, Hunan province, joined the CPC in 1925 and the Red Army of Workers and Peasants in 1930. He was one of the earliest newspaper operators of the Red Army of Workers and Peasants. He was the political commissar of the Red Army’s Radio Team during the Long March. From 1937 to 1949, Li Bai accepted the task assigned by the Party and took charge of secret liaison with the CPC Central Committee in Shanghai on a long-term basis. Li Bai was arrested four times by the Japanese aggressors and the KMT and almost tortured to death, but he was unyielding. On the eve of the liberation of Shanghai on May 7, 1949, Li Bai was secretly killed by the KMT. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, in order to commemorate the martyr Li Bai, the film The Eternal Wave was made with his story as the prototype.
