The Spain-made 9mm Astra M300 pistol was used by Luo Binghui, commander of the 2nd Division of the New Fourth Army and of the Huainan Military Command, when he established the Huainan anti-Japanese base area in 1944. Later he gave it to Tang Shaotian.
It was collected by the Logistics Department of Nanjing Military Command from Tang Shaotian and transferred to the Military Museum in 1959.
