Zhu Rui’s Delegate Card for the Seventh CPC National Congress

Zhu Rui (1905-1948), known as Father of the PLA’s Artillery, attended the Seventh CPC National Congress in 1945. In his early life, Zhu studied in Krasin Artillery Academy in the Soviet Union. During the War of Resistance, Zhu was the Secretary of the Military Committee and the Director of the Organization Department of the North China Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, and Political Commissar of the 1st Column of the Eighth Route Army. He went to study in the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC in Yan’an in 1943. In 1945, Zhu was appointed president of Yan’an Artillery School and attended the Seventh CPC National Congress as a delegate from the army. In 1946, he took the position of Artillery Commander of Northeast Democratic United Army and headmaster of artillery school. He was killed by the landmine during the Liaoxi-Shenyang Campaign in 1948.
Zhu Rui’s wife Pan Caiqin donated the item to the Military Museum in 1959.
