Cheng Bojun’s Entry Pass to the Seventh CPC National Congress

The Seventh CPC National Congress was held from 23 April to 11 June 1945 in Yan’an. A new Central Committee and leadership of the CPC were elected on the congress. Mao Zedong was elected Chairman of the Central Committee and Political Bureau. Maoism was established as the CPC’s guiding ideology and written into the Party Constitution. This entry pass was issued to Chen Bojun by the Secretariat of the Seventh CPC National Congress. Chen Bojun (1910-1974) joined the CPC in 1927 and was Brigade Commander of the 359th Brigade of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army in the early days of the War of Resistance. He was Deputy Chief of Staff of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Defense Force at the time of the congress.
Chen Bojun donated the item to the Military Museum in 1959.
