Japan’s Ceramic Germ Bomb Shell

This ceramic germ bomb shell, which was carried and dropped by aircraft, can be filled with germs. More and more countries came to develop biological weapons during the WWII. There were more germs used and more bio-weapons produced. Germ airbombs were used and wider areas were affected. During the War of Resistance, Japanese army established factories in northeast China to produce biological weapons. They set up biological weapon research institutes in Nanjing and Guangzhou. Germ weapons were used in Hunan, Zhejiang, Inner Mongolia and Shandong to produce plagues there. A large number of Chinese soldiers and civilians were killed.
After the founding of New China, the item was transferred to the Military Museum by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
