Xu Xiangqian’s M1932 Mauser Used in the War of Resistance

Xu Xiangqian used this pistol when he was Deputy Commander of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army. The advanced version of M1930 Mauser pistol manufactured by Mauser obtained a patent in Germany in April 1932. This advanced version was called M1932. The National Government of China imported this version in a large number. It was commonly known in China as Bokeqiang, Hezipao or Kuaimanji. Also, it was known as “20 Shots”, for its 20-bullet magazine.
Xu Xiangqian donated the pistol to the Military Museum in 1959.
