Weapons are on display in three exhibition zones. In the central lobby on the basement floor there are tanks and armored vehicles, wreckage of U2 plane and HQ-2 ground-to-air missile. The central lobby on the first floor houses airplanes, missiles and warships. In the east, west and south corridors on the second floor there are on display pistols, rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, ammunition and knives. The highlights are the weaponry and equipment captured and used by the Chinese people’s army, particularly those that played an important role in battles. The exhibition aims to illustrate the development of the weaponry and equipment of the people’s army. In an area of 18,500㎡ there are nearly 300 pieces of large weaponry and equipment and over 1,700 pieces of light weapons, ammunition and knives.
